It’s been a bit of a strange week. First, I spent 3 days trying to get home for Christmas. Time sort of got away from me… we celebrated the holiday on the 26th, having “breakfast” at 2pm when I got in and opening presents after that.

A day later, I got an email kicking me out of my band. They’re “going in a different direction,” as cliche as that could be. Apparently the next few gigs present “great opportunities,” and I suppose my presence comprimises that somehow. I guess I should be over it, but it’s strange - I feel like I was dumped and fired at the same time.

One thing that really gets me - there is no record whatsoever of me being in this band. We have no pictures of me performing with them, no recordings, and they have completely scrubbed me clean off their MySpace. It kind of feels like a mirage… just a grouping of songs in my iTunes right above Avril Lavigne… songs that I really didn’t have any part in creating, but that I had hoped to make a little better.

It’s stupid…. but this was the first thing I’ve been really excited about in a really, really long time. And it’s gone now. So yeah, I’m not over it yet. Sorry.
